Santa Rosa storm

A meteorological phenomenon characterized by strong winds and heavy rainfall that affects the Río de la Plata region of South America around late August. This storm is associated with the passage of a cold front and is named after the feast day of Saint Rose of Lima on August 30th. It is a recurring event, though its intensity varies considerably from year to year.
