Southeaster

A wind that blows from the southeast, or a storm characterized by such winds. In the Southern Hemisphere, these winds are associated with the circulation around a high-pressure system to the west or a low-pressure system to the east. The Cape Doctor of South Africa is a well-known example of a strong, persistent southeasterly wind that occurs during the summer months.
