Storm wind

The strong winds associated with a storm system, typically exceeding a certain threshold for sustained speed or gust intensity. These winds are a primary destructive force during severe weather events, capable of causing widespread damage to infrastructure and vegetation. In marine forecasts, a storm wind warning is issued for winds of 48 to 63 knots.
