Tornado Alley

A region in the central United States where tornadoes occur with high frequency and intensity. This area extends across the Great Plains, from Texas northward through Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. The unique atmospheric conditions in this region, including the collision of warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool, dry air from the Rocky Mountains, contribute to the formation of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.
