Trade-wind front
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009744
A boundary zone within the trade-wind regime where two air masses with different characteristics converge. This convergence often leads to enhanced convection and precipitation, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. It is distinct from a typical mid-latitude frontal system due to the persistent nature of the trade winds.
