Ultimate infiltration capacity

The maximum rate at which water can infiltrate into a soil when the soil is saturated and the surface is ponded. This rate is primarily controlled by the hydraulic conductivity of the soil. It represents the steady-state infiltration rate achieved after an extended period of rainfall or ponding.
