Batch mixer

A piece of surface equipment consisting of one or more tanks with agitators, used for preparing specific volumes, or batches, of treatment fluids like cement slurries, fracturing fluids, or spacers. Ingredients such as dry powders, liquid additives, and base fluids are added to the tank and blended to achieve a homogenous mixture with the required properties before being pumped downhole. Batch mixers for cementing typically have two 50-barrel capacity tanks.
