Base slurry

A mixture of cement and water, often with minimal or no additives, prepared before the addition of other chemicals to achieve specific properties for well cementing. This initial mixture forms the foundation for the final cement blend, which is then pumped downhole. It serves as a starting point for designing the desired thickening time, density, and strength.
