Jet mixer
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002071
A device that uses the venturi principle to rapidly and uniformly blend dry powdered additives into drilling fluid. A high-velocity stream of liquid is pumped through a constricted throat, creating a low-pressure zone that draws powder from a hopper into the fluid stream. This method prevents the formation of clumps, a common issue with materials like bentonite and barite.
