Jet pump
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002074
A type of artificial lift system that uses a high-velocity power fluid stream to entrain and lift produced fluids from the wellbore. The power fluid, typically oil or water, is pumped down the well and directed through a nozzle, creating a low-pressure area that draws in reservoir fluids. Jet pumps are versatile and can handle abrasive fluids.
