Hydraulic pumping
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001898
An artificial lift method that uses a power fluid, typically crude oil or water, to drive a downhole pump. The power fluid is injected from the surface through one tubing string to operate a hydraulic pump, which then lifts the produced fluids through another tubing string. This system is suitable for high-volume production and deviated wells.
