Jet nozzle

A small, precisely sized opening in a drill bit or other downhole tool that directs a high-velocity stream of drilling fluid. These nozzles are designed to create hydraulic force for cleaning the wellbore and cooling the bit. Their size and number are selected based on the desired hydraulic horsepower at the bit and the formation being drilled.
