Crossover

A short tubular component, also called a crossover sub, used to connect two downhole items having different thread sizes or connection types. It provides a pressure-tight mechanical link between sections of casing, tubing, or other tools that would otherwise be incompatible. Each crossover is specified by the size, weight, grade, and thread type of the two ends it joins.
