Casing thread

A helical ridge machined onto the ends of casing pipes, designed to connect individual casing joints securely. These threads create a pressure-tight seal and mechanical connection, allowing the casing string to be run into the wellbore. Common types include API (American Petroleum Institute) round threads, buttress threads, and premium connections.
