Flowline sample
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001495
A representative portion of drilling fluid collected from the flowline as it returns from the wellbore to the surface shaker screens. This sample provides the most current information on the condition of the mud after it has circulated downhole and interacted with the formation. Mud engineers test flowline samples to monitor properties like density, viscosity, and solids content, making adjustments as needed.
