Flowstream sample

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001497

A small, representative portion of fluid collected directly from a pipeline or process vessel while the well is producing. The sample is captured under flowing conditions to preserve its original composition, pressure, and temperature for laboratory analysis. Analysis of the sample determines properties such as oil and gas composition, water cut, and sediment content, which are used for production allocation and process control.
