Hesitation squeeze

A cementing technique used to repair casing leaks or isolate zones by injecting cement into the affected area in stages, with periods of shut-in between injections. This allows the cement to dehydrate and develop compressive strength before further pressure is applied. The shut-in periods can range from minutes to several hours.
