High pressure squeeze
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001823
A cementing operation where cement is injected into a formation or perforations at pressures exceeding the fracture gradient of the rock. This technique is used to create or extend fractures, forcing cement into areas that would otherwise be inaccessible. It is often employed for severe lost circulation or to achieve zonal isolation in challenging formations.
