Junk sub

A short, heavy-walled tubular component incorporated into a drill string or workover string, designed to collect and retain debris from the wellbore. It often contains a basket or screen to capture metal fragments, lost tools, or other foreign material. This sub is run as part of a fishing assembly to clean the wellbore of obstructions.
