Tubing performance curve (TPC)

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003939

A graphical representation that shows the relationship between the flow rate of fluids through the production tubing and the corresponding pressure drop. It illustrates the pressure required at the bottom of the tubing to achieve a certain flow rate, considering friction and hydrostatic head. The TPC is often used in conjunction with the inflow performance relationship (IPR) to determine the optimal production rate for a well.
