Productivity test

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002965

A well test conducted to determine the relationship between the production rate of a well and the corresponding bottomhole pressure. The results are used to calculate the productivity index (PI), which quantifies the well's ability to produce fluids at a given pressure drawdown. This test involves measuring flow rates at several different choke settings or drawdown pressures to construct an inflow performance relationship (IPR) curve, a graphical representation of well performance.
