PI
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002782
An abbreviation for productivity index, which is a measure of a well's ability to produce fluids from the reservoir under a given pressure drawdown. It is calculated as the ratio of the stabilized liquid production rate to the pressure difference between the average reservoir pressure and the flowing bottomhole pressure. A higher PI indicates a more productive well.
