Very large crude carrier

A class of supertankers used for transporting large quantities of crude oil, typically with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) between 180,000 and 320,000 metric tons. These vessels are capable of carrying approximately 2 million barrels of oil. VLCCs are a common sight on major crude oil shipping routes worldwide.
