Abrasive blasting
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000004
A post-processing technique that propels abrasive particles at high velocity onto the surface of a 3D printed part. This process removes loose powder, support structures, and surface imperfections, while also creating a uniform matte finish. Common abrasive media include glass beads, aluminum oxide, or plastic grit, selected based on the desired surface roughness and material compatibility.
