Alumide
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000015
A composite material used in selective laser sintering (SLS) that consists of a nylon (polyamide) powder mixed with fine aluminum particles. This blend results in parts with a metallic appearance, increased stiffness, and improved thermal resistance compared to pure nylon. Alumide parts are often used for functional prototypes and aesthetic models.
