Selective laser reaction sintering

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000340

An additive manufacturing process, abbreviated as SLRS, that uses a laser to initiate a chemical reaction within a powder bed, forming a solid part. The laser energy causes precursor materials to react and sinter together, creating a new compound with desired properties. This technique differs from traditional selective laser sintering (SLS) by relying on a chemical transformation rather than just melting and fusing existing powder particles.
