Laser
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000192
A device that emits a concentrated beam of coherent light through a process of optical amplification. In additive manufacturing, lasers are employed in processes like selective laser sintering (SLS), selective laser melting (SLM), and stereolithography (SLA) to selectively fuse or cure materials. The wavelength and power of the laser are chosen based on the material being processed.
