Selective laser sintering
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000341
An additive manufacturing process that uses a high-power laser to selectively fuse small particles of polymer, ceramic, or metal powder into a solid structure. The laser scans cross-sections generated from a 3D digital model, heating the powder to its sintering temperature and bonding the particles together. Unfused powder remains as support for the part and can often be recycled.
