Laser-powder bed fusion
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000196
An additive manufacturing process that uses a high-power laser to selectively melt and fuse metallic or polymeric powder particles layer by layer. A thin layer of powder is spread across a build platform, and the laser scans the cross-section of the part, consolidating the material. This process is known for producing high-density, complex parts with excellent mechanical properties.
An additive manufacturing process that uses a high-power laser to selectively melt and fuse metallic powder particles together. A thin layer of powder is spread across a build platform, and the laser traces the cross-section of the part, solidifying the material. This layer-by-layer process creates dense, high-strength metal components with complex geometries.
