Metal powder bed fusion
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000231
An additive manufacturing process that selectively melts and fuses layers of metal powder using a high-energy source, such as a laser or electron beam. A thin layer of powder is spread across a build platform, and the energy source traces the cross-section of the part, solidifying the material. This process creates dense, high-strength metal components with complex geometries.
