Powder bed fusion
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000306
An additive manufacturing process that selectively melts and fuses powdered material layer by layer to build a three-dimensional object. A heat source, such as a laser or electron beam, scans across the powder bed, solidifying the material according to the digital design. Common materials processed by PBF include polymers, metals, and ceramics.
