Electron beam melting
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000119
A powder bed fusion additive manufacturing process that uses a high-energy electron beam to melt and fuse metallic powder particles layer by layer in a vacuum environment. The electron beam precisely scans and consolidates the powder, building up the desired three-dimensional object. This method is particularly suitable for reactive metals like titanium alloys, producing dense parts with excellent mechanical properties.
