Electrostatic discharge materials

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000120

A class of polymers formulated to prevent the buildup of static electricity and safely dissipate any charge. These electrostatic discharge (ESD) materials contain conductive additives, like carbon black or carbon nanotubes, that give them surface resistivity properties sufficient to protect sensitive electronic components from damage. Their performance is measured by surface resistivity, with values between 10^6 and 10^9 ohms per square being typical for dissipative materials.
