Selective thermoplastic electrophotographic process

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000342

An additive manufacturing method, abbreviated as STEP, that uses an electrostatic charge to selectively deposit thermoplastic powder onto a build plate. A laser then fuses the deposited powder, creating a solid layer. This process is analogous to xerography, where toner is attracted to charged areas on a drum.
