Belt drive
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000030
A mechanical system that uses a continuous loop of flexible material, such as a toothed rubber belt, to transmit motion and power between two or more pulleys. In 3D printers, belt drives are used to move the print head or build platform along the X and Y axes. These systems offer good precision for positioning components.
