Leadscrew
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000444
A mechanical linkage that translates rotational motion into linear motion, consisting of a threaded shaft and a mating nut. In 3D printers, it precisely controls the vertical movement of the print head or build platform along the Z-axis. The pitch of the screw determines the resolution of the linear movement.
