UV light
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000402
Electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light but longer than X-rays, specifically in the range of 10 to 400 nanometers. In additive manufacturing, processes like stereolithography (SLA) and material jetting use a controlled source of ultraviolet (UV) light to selectively cure liquid photopolymer resins. This targeted solidification, or photopolymerization, forms the solid layers that constitute the final printed object.
