Galvo
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000150
A galvanometer scanner, a device that uses mirrors mounted on rotating shafts to precisely direct a laser beam. In additive manufacturing, galvos are employed in processes like stereolithography (SLA) and selective laser sintering (SLS) to rapidly and accurately trace patterns on a material bed or resin vat. These systems can achieve scanning speeds of several meters per second.
