Sinter
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000351
To form a solid mass of material by heat and/or pressure without melting it to the point of liquefaction. This process causes particles to bond together, reducing porosity and increasing density. Sintering is a key step in powder bed fusion additive manufacturing, particularly for metals and ceramics.
