Kiln furniture
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000443
Refractory supports and containers used to hold and separate parts during high-temperature firing processes in ceramic additive manufacturing. These components prevent parts from deforming or sticking together as they undergo sintering or heat treatment. Kiln furniture must withstand extreme temperatures, often exceeding 1600 degrees Celsius, without degrading or reacting with the printed parts.
