Flowable metal paste
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000139
A composite material, also known as FMP, consisting of fine metal powders suspended within a polymer binder, creating a substance with a paste-like consistency. This material is extruded at room temperature using a direct ink writing or paste extrusion system to form a green part. The part then undergoes a two-stage post-processing treatment involving a debinding step to remove the polymer and a sintering step in a furnace to fuse the metal particles into a solid, dense metal object.
