Multi-step Process
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000244
An additive manufacturing process in which a part is created in more than one step, typically a first step that forms the basic geometry and later steps that modify the shape, consolidate the material, or change its properties. Binder jetting of metal is a common example, since the printed green part must be debound and sintered before it reaches its final density and strength.
