Ceramic injection molding
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000069
A manufacturing process, abbreviated CIM, where ceramic powder is mixed with a binder to form a feedstock, which is then injected into a mold to create a green part. While not a direct additive manufacturing process, it is a traditional method for producing complex ceramic components that can be complemented by 3D printing for tooling or prototypes. The molded part undergoes debinding and sintering to achieve final density.
