Kapton tape
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000190
A polyimide adhesive tape known for its high-temperature resistance and electrical insulation properties. In 3D printing, it is applied to the build plate of fused deposition modeling (FDM) printers to improve adhesion for certain filament types, such as ABS. This tape can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for heated build platforms.
