Heated bed

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000168

A build platform equipped with an integrated heating element, used in many 3D printing processes, particularly fused deposition modeling (FDM). It maintains a consistent temperature at the base of the printed object, preventing warping and improving adhesion of the first layer to the print surface. Typical heated bed temperatures for PLA range from 50 to 70 degrees Celsius.
