Surface model
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000377
A digital representation of a 3D object that defines its exterior geometry using interconnected surfaces, without specifying its internal volume. This type of model is often used for aesthetic designs or when the internal structure is not relevant for manufacturing. It differs from a solid model, which fully defines both the exterior and interior of an object.
