Confusion matrix

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002426

A tabular summary used to evaluate the performance of a classification model by comparing its predicted classifications against the actual, known outcomes. The matrix displays the counts of true positives, true negatives, false positives, and false negatives in a square grid where rows represent the actual class and columns represent the predicted class. From these four outcomes, metrics such as accuracy, precision, and recall can be calculated.
