False positive
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004333
A result from a test or classification model that incorrectly indicates the presence of a condition or attribute when it is actually absent. This outcome represents an error where a true negative case is misidentified as a positive one. In drug screening, a false positive might lead to unnecessary further testing.
