Exposure profile
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004247
A representation of the concentration of a substance in a specific environmental medium or organism as a function of time. The profile illustrates the dynamics of exposure, including the onset, duration, magnitude, and frequency of contact with the chemical. This information is used in ecotoxicological risk assessments to estimate the potential effects on populations or ecosystems by relating the time-varying exposure to known dose-response relationships.
