Line profile
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006606
A graphical representation of the intensity of electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength or frequency for a specific spectral line. It illustrates the shape and width of the spectral feature, providing information about the emitting or absorbing species and its environment. The profile can be characterized by parameters such as full width at half maximum.
